For more detailed information, please read through our FAQs HOSTINGIn order to host a NEXT Passover Seder, you must be a Taglit-Birthright Israel alumnus or former bus-staff (madrich or madricha) residing in the United States or Canada. Current employees of Taglit-Birthright Israel, Birthright Israel Foundation and Birthright Israel North America are also eligible to host Passover Seder meals. Passover Seder meals may not be co-hosted with other Taglit-Birthright Israel alumni (i.e., alumni may not individually register for meals and then combine their Passover Seder funds). Failure to comply with this rule may result in, at NEXT’s discretion, all concerned NEXT Passover Seder hosts being denied payment for their Passover Seder meals. Current employees of NEXT, as well as their immediate family members are not eligible to host NEXT Passover Seder meals. REGISTRATIONYou must register to host your seder by Monday, Friday March 22, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. ET. NEXT Passover Seders may only be hosted on Monday, March 25, 2013 or Tuesday, March 26, 2013 to be eligible for reimbursement. Steps to register and host a NEXT Passover Seder
Steps required to receive payment following your meal:
NOTE: If it is your practice to not take pictures on the first two nights of Passover, you must take a photo of your Passover Seder preparations (e.g. your delicious food, set table—surprise us!) and your NEXT Passover Seder Sign. CHANGES AND CANCELLATIONSYou can change or cancel your meal in your Host Center.If you decide to change your meal date, you must change the date by Friday, March 22, 2013 at 2:30 p.m. ET. GUESTSNEXT Passover Seder meals must have a minimum of six (6) people (including the host) over the age of 18.
PAYMENT FOR YOUR NEXT PASSOVER SEDER MEALNEXT pays up to $12 per person for at least six (6) and up to sixteen (16) people in attendance at your meal, including the host. NEXT reserves the right to request and review your receipts before sending payment, and to pay based on those actual expenses. Your NEXT Passover Seder may also qualify as a "contribution" that you may be entitled to claim as a tax deduction. The deduction amount which you may be entitled to claim is the difference between your actual expenses incurred in putting your NEXT Passover Seder together (including food and beverage costs), and the amount of reimbursement which you have received from NEXT, but only where your actual expenses exceed the amount of reimbursement. Please remember that the above information should not be considered tax advice and you should always consult an independent tax adviser concerning your specific tax situation. You must complete and submit your Feedback Form and photo (s) within two weeks of your NEXT Passover Seder meal in order to receive payment. You can expect to receive a check via mail within six weeks of submitting your Feedback Form and photo. Failure to comply with the NEXT Passover Seder Rules may result in your denial of payment and disqualification from future participation in NEXT Holiday programs or the NEXT Shabbat Program. These NEXT Passover Seder Rules and the terms and conditions of the NEXT Passover Seder program are subject to change at any time and without notice. Any and all such changes shall be at NEXT's sole discretion. |
